Dedicated to my Cousin Linda Rosie

My cousin Linda passed away today,

Cut off in her prime.

And although she was a shadow of her former self,

Perhaps it was just her time.

My memories can not be stolen,

They are etched upon my mind,

This strong willed Aussie woman

Whose passion was not hard to find.

A free spirit, yet a grafter,

Whose journey was long and hard.

But this day you find rest my friend

And eternity does not end.

I know you wanted to say “Thank you”

And see me face to face.

But instead I said “I love you”

You have won your final race.

Today you have gone to glory,

At peace and in no more pain,

Whilst my heart aches, I do not worry

For one day I shall see you again.
